That aid station magic worked wonders for my core temps as I shuffled to the finish. I'm totally satisfied with the day and ready for the Western States lottery in December. I acknowledged the pains I was experiencing, but I focused on continuing to smile, continuing to focus, and continuing to do my best all the way to the finish. The quality has been getting me used to running on fatigued legs, without the back-to-back long runs or mass quantity of mileage that would take an absolutely bonkers amount of time. I wonder if we saw each other at all this race! My muscles were shot and it was a grind to the finish. Doable and how I did my first but I think most people wouldn't expect 20 hours at that mileage.
