P0906 Peugeot 206 engine problem because the presence of voltage at the panel harness won't make the panel work if there is a bad ground connection. These can range from a faulty spark plug lead, shorted kill switch or flywheel key damage. No problems or faults during the drive. Always runs on supermarket fuel. Apart from that the car is working fine i have no problems whatsoever. Utilize freeze frame data to help you determine which codes were stored first.
Sorry if this is common knowledge but I didn't realise that apparently, a small amount of some 'special' fluid gets squirted into the tank everytime you put the nozzle of the fuel hose in to fill up, which reduces pollution and improves performance. For us who have limited knowledge of the system i have found out this. Didn't have a clue what to do. Do not use a self-powered test light because it cannot measure resistance any resistance will lower circuit voltage. Check the pump for water content.

Engine misfire codes, lean exhaust codes, fuel injector codes, and virtually any other drivability or transmission code that is accompanied by a controller communication code can potentially be a pitfall for misdiagnosis. This fault code is usually caused by interference. This also ties in with the forced regeneration by the dealers in some posts and funny smells. Take it to a Peugeot Dealer they are likely to charge you £150 to put it on the computer. You should also check that the spark plug gap is set properly. They tried to re-set the computer, but no such luck.

After a battle with Peugeot I got the money back. Didn't need to be plugged in to clear the error. Continue driving and see if the check engine light turns off.

The last time I got this error on my 307 the fault was due to the spark plugs needed changing. She had been running it on a supermarket fuel previously. It has a habit of becoming contaminated with water. To make this regeneration process easier, the engine should be used regularly at a sufficient level to ensure high enough temperature of the exhaust gas. A good ground connection is also extremely important.
Car did not seem to be overheating and temp gauge ok. Then i changed all of the fuse box i and a new one and it went away. They hooked the car on a computer and reved the hell out it in every gear. Definitely worth trying before putting it on the computer! Some people claimed you can exchange the pollution sensor itself. So all good and worthy. But in many cases, it means at minimum that you'll be visiting the car dealer to locate the malfunction and get the light turned off.
